WANG Panfeng serves as a professor and doctoral supervisor of Education School at the Capital Normal University, and the standing director of State Curriculum Academic Committee, mainly working on research of curriculum and pedagogy and educational research methods. Professor WANG has once presided over multiple provincial and ministerial projects and published several writings including a monographClassroom Teaching-Approaching the Lifeworld, a textbookPrinciples and Methods of Behavior Study(Xingdong Yanjiu De Lilun Yu Fangfa) and a translationTeaching and Learning-Outside the Box, as well as over 70 pieces of academic papers on the Chinese core journals.
Lecture description
Principal’s leading is of pivot to the development of a school. A principal, as the general designer of a school, is accountable for organizing top-level design and profession planning for the overall development of the school. For principals, writing academic papers helps them not only improve their own attainment of educational theory and ability of logical thinking but also enhance their effectiveness to solve practical problems in their schools. On the other hand, writing academic papers advances the specialization of school management and education and teaching. All in all, principal’s writing of academic papers helps lay a vital foundation for extension and innovation of a school. Principals of the first class are supposed to harbor an attitude of researchers when situating themselves in the scenario of school. The principals should combine the practical works with different approaches and conduct subject selection, research and expression of papers.
