The international summer semester themed Online and Offline Integrated Education in the Pandemics has been concluded in the College of Education (COE), Capital Normal University. This week-long program, which launched on July 1, aims to help students develop an international perspective on education reform and development and enhance their research capabilities.

This year’s program was held online due to the pandemic. Scholars from both home and abroad were invited to give lectures and organize workshops. A total of 71 sophomore students participated in the program and their learning culminated in a final team project where they were required to design a plan for the university to carry out online and offline teaching activities, as the coronavirus pandemic has become the new normal of life globally.

On July 7, the students submitted their plans for the future of university education and presented in English in front of the review committee. All reviewers believed that these students have demonstrated a high level of critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.

As an important part and a supportive platform for cultivating outstanding students under the plan of the Talent Training Program of COE, the annual international summer semester program will be designed in a systematic and innovative manner to provide more learning opportunities to students, and further expand the international influence of the College of Education of Capital Normal University.
